Darlene: The ERG leaders and team members provide an opportunity to promote inclusiveness, understanding, promote culture values, and they offer professional development, recruitment, networking, mentoring, internships, scholarships, and laboratory committee and leadership opportunities, and they contribute to community outreach activities.
ELA: What impact did the LLNL ERG Leaders & Senior Manager Champions have on you with this specific action?
Darlene: They helped me to develop personal and professional growth throughout my years at LLNL.
ELA: What impact did this have on others?
Darlene: ERG involvement allows for group members to interact with senior managers that provide advocacy, advice and mentorship.
ELA: Why was this action unique or especially challenging to accomplish?
Darlene: Time is of the essence; meeting with senior managers has it's challenges but the effort put forth to meet and assist ERG groups proves that LLNL is committed to creating an environment embracing all that is DEI related.
